The formula
Litres = km × L/100 km ÷ one hundred. Cost = litres × price per litre.
How much fuel an RV uses
RVs carry no official fuel rating. Cruise America, which also rents in Canada, says Class C motorhomes get usually 10–14 mpg2, Class A around 8–10 mpg2, and Class B campervans approximately 18–25 mpg2. Those are US miles per gallon; the calculator converts the low end of each range to litres per hundred km so you don’t under-budget.
Work out your own trip: open the RV rental calculator. It starts with sourced defaults and leaves the rest for your quote.
