RV rental fees in Canada

The nightly rate is only part of the bill. One of Canada’s biggest RV fleets publishes its add-on prices; they show what to look for on any quote.

How the nightly rate works

CanaDream recalculates its rates every Monday according to how many of each vehicle type are available1. There is no fixed rate to quote, so the calculator starts with a labelled example: type your own.

Kilometres

ItemCanaDream price
Includedevery booking includes 100 km per night2
Over the allowance$0.47 for each kilometre over the prepaid allowance1
Packages500 km package $200.00; 800 km package $310.001
Unlimitedunlimited kilometres for up to 21 nights $1680.001
Daily upgradesupgrades to 175 km a night ($29 a night) or 250 km a night ($57 a night)2

Distances in western Canada are long. Add up your route before you choose a package; the calculator applies the included kilometres and the per-km rate for you.

Questions to ask any rental company

  • How many kilometres a night are included, and what does each extra one cost?
  • Is the generator metered, and is it included in summer?
  • Are kitchen and bedding kits extra, and are they priced per booking or per person?
  • What does a one-way trip, or a trip into the US or the north, add?

Work out your own trip: open the RV rental calculator. It starts with sourced defaults and leaves the rest for your quote.
